We recommend scheduling a cleaning and exam every six months. This enables us to thoroughly clean your teeth to remove any plaque, bacteria, and tartar buildup from your teeth and examine your mouth for any underlying oral health issues. By making these visits a regular part of your life, you’ll enjoy optimal oral health.
We recommend using a soft-bristled toothbrush to brush your teeth. While an electric toothbrush can often help patients get a thorough cleaning, your technique matters more than the toothbrush. Clean your teeth on all sides, and brush for two full minutes at least two times a day. Be sure to floss once a day too.
As soon as your child’s first tooth erupts, we recommend bringing them in for a checkup. Dr. Garner can do an exam to ensure their new teeth are coming in properly and monitor any oral health issues. By bringing your child to the dentist early, you are setting them up to have a lifetime of good oral health.
